A local road will be closed in two areas for culvert repairs and replacement. Larkin Road in Izard County will undergo the closures Wednesday and Thursday.
According to a Facebook post from the Izard County Office of Emergency Management, the closures will be in effect from 8 to 4 each day. One area will be at the Old Philadelphia Methodist Church and Gillespie Road northeast of Melbourne. The other area will be west of Violet Hill between Arkansas Highway 56 and Robert Banks Road.
Motorists traveling in the area will need to seek alternate routes during the closures.
