After a brief cooldown in the Twin Lakes Area, the heat returns heading into the weekend. A heat advisory will be in effect Friday from noon to 8 for north central Arkansas and Taney County in southern Missouri.
Meteorologist Willie Gilmore from the National Weather Service office in North Little Rock says the triple digit heat index values will be returning.
