The Mountain Home High School golf teams went to Jonesboro Country Club on Friday and competed in the Hurricane Classic.
The Bombers finished third on the boys’ side at 17-over-par. Cabot took the title at eight-over, and Brookland was second at 15-over. Individually for Mountain Home, Ian Ellison ended up tied for fifth place at two-over-par, Jack Coleman finished tied for seventh at three-over, and Chace Berwald was tied for ninth at five-over. Cole Kirby of Brookland was the medalist at one-under-par.
The Lady Bombers took seventh place in the girls’ team standings as the victory went to Valley View. Abby Edens led Mountain Home as she finished just outside the top 10 at 11-over-par. Caroline Hughes of Jonesboro and Elizabeth Esteban ended up tied at the top of the leaderboard after both were two-over.
