
In volleyball, Mountain Home had a rough night as they were swept in three junior high matches by Marion on Thursday.
The Junior Lady Bombers lost the varsity match in straight sets as the Junior Lady Patriots posted scores of 25-18 and 25-13. Aleigh Lucas led Mountain Home with five kills and two blocks, Lydia Miller had three kills and two blocks, Brytlee Burroughs added three kills, Maddie Simmons recorded 12 digs, and Ava Jones finished with seven assists and an ace.
Mountain Home did not fare any better in the junior varsity match. Marion topped the Junior J.V. Lady Bombers 25-12 and 25-13.
The evening began with Mountain Home’s seventh graders losing to Marion 25-19 and 25-20.
On the high school level, Flippin had a tough outing in front of its home crowd. The Lady Bobcats fell to Valley Springs in straight sets.
Izard County suffered a defeat on the road. The Lady Cougars lost in straight sets at the hands of Conway Christian.
