
The Mountain Home High School cross country teams began their season Saturday across the state line as they took part in the Richard Clark Invitational at Bolivar.
The Bombers finished third on the boys’ side. Nixa got the win, and West Plains was second. Dora ended up 27th.
Mountain Home’s top performer was William Hill as he took 10th place in a time of 16:12.36, and Hendrix Hughes finished 21st in 16:33.12. Dora was led by Cade Nold, who was 61st in 17:19.15. Kyler Gunter led West Plains as he ended up eighth in 16:11.6.
Dora’s girls took 18th place with the victory going to Ozark, Mo. Mountain Home and West Plains did not have enough runners on the girls’ side for the team standings.
For the Lady Bombers, Erin Smith finished 52nd in a time of 21:41.07. Dora’s top runner was freshman Isabelle Martin as she was 95th 22:43.8. West Plains’ Emily Ritter ended up third in 19:30.88.
