A suspect is being sought from a double shooting incident early Sunday morning in Maumelle. A report from Little Rock television station KATV says two individuals at the scene were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
According to the Maumelle Police Department, officers went to a residence on Arkansas Highway 365 North at around 1:20 in response to a call reporting a shooting. The police department says when officers arrived, the suspect had already fled the scene.
A person of interest has been named whom they are trying to locate. Authorities say they currently do not believe there is any danger to Maumelle citizens. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Maumelle Police Department at 501-851-1337.
