
Several cross country runners gathered on Friday for the Gainesville Bulldog Classic.
The host school won the varsity boys’ race. Dora finished second, and Bakersfield was fifth. Dora’s Cade Nold was the individual champion in a time of 19:48.19, and fellow Falcon Joshua Nold ended up second. Gainesville’s Ryder Murphy took third place, Dora’s Daniel Tomlinson finished fourth, Brady Myers of Gainesville was fifth, Chad Carey of Bakersfield ended up seventh, and Gainesville’s Archer Luna and Macray Hambelton took ninth and 10th place respectively.
Dora came away with the varsity girls’ title, and Gainesville finished third. Isabelle Martin represented the Lady Falcons by winning the race in 23:58.1, and teammate Emma Martin was second. Kaitlyn Kahl of Gainesville ended up third. Also for Dora, Kinley Luna took fourth place, Kayden Jones finished eighth, and Chloe Barton was 10th. For Bakersfield, Keeley Stevens ended up 13th.
Gainesville dominated the middle school girls’ race. Jessica Suit took the win in a time of 11:10.09, Annabell Snelson finished second, Peyton Eslinger was fourth, Moxie Similkier ended up fifth, Isabelle Workman took sixth place, Nina Sponugle finished seventh, and Raine Similier was ninth.
Gainesville’s Aiden Thome won the middle school boys’ race in a time of 10:30.2. Marcus Meskimen of Bakersfield ended up eighth.
Brody Copper of Gainesville won the elementary boys’ race in 12:27.08. Also for Gainesville, Finn Wade took second place, and Hunter Smart finished fourth.
Dora’s Kinsen Mitchell won the elementary girls’ race as she crossed the line in 13:22.45.
