The Greenwood High School quarterback being heavily recruited by Arkansas and other colleges is set to return to action this week after being injured at Mountain Home. Sophomore Kane Archer sat out this past Friday in the game against Siloam Springs, but he should be available for the next game at Van Buren.

According to a report from Nate Olson, Archer’s father confirmed the four-star quarterback ended up with a broken wrist on his non-throwing arm when the Bulldogs defeated the Bombers 55-7 on Sept. 8. His backup, sophomore Cooper Goodwin, took the snaps for the remainder of the game.

Greenwood had to use its third-string quarterback against Siloam Springs. Goodwin injured his hip in practice last week and only lasted one series on Friday. Junior Scott Holland led the offense in the Bulldogs’ 55-14 win over the Panthers.

Archer posted on Twitter he visited Arkansas this weekend during their 38-31 loss to BYU.
