Three area schools sent their golf teams to Cooper’s Hawk Golf Course in Melbourne for the 3A-2 Conference Tournament on Tuesday.
Salem won the girls’ title with a team total of 283. Melbourne also clinched a state tournament berth as they finished second at 306. Salem’s Katie Fish and Melbourne’s Annie Rush tied for the medalist honor as each shot an 85.
Melbourne took home the boys’ championship at 240. Salem was fifth at 284, and Mountain View ended up seventh at 294. Melbourne’s Carter Manry was the medalist with a 76. Salem’s Kamden Turner will join the Bearkatz in the state tournament after shooting an 88.
