The Arkansas Interscholastic Cycling Association (AR NICA) returns to Mountain Home for the second race of the season at Clysta Willett Park.

An estimated 600 youth mountain bikers and their families from Mountain Home, Bentonville West, Sugarloaf Shredders, Jonesboro, Springdale, Mountain View and Madison County will participate in the event. In addition, approximately 1200 spectators are excepted.

Arkansas NICA’s goal is to increase access to mountain biking throughout the state for any student-athlete wanting to participate. AR NICA focuses on more than racing, league participants and families enjoy programs and events like GRiT: Girls Riding Together, focused on building community within athletes, trail maintenance and environmental stewardship through Teen Trail Corps, skills camps and clinics, coaches training and development, and Adventure programming that combines mountain biking with games and outdoor experiential education.

Mountain Home is hosting the second race of the season. Race three will be held at Cedar Glades Park in Hot Springs Oct. 7-8, with the final race of the season held in Fayetteville Oct. 28-29 at Centennial Park.
