Monday volleyball results include MH winning 2 of 3 junior high matches at West Memphis West

Mountain Home took two of three volleyball matches at West Memphis West on Monday.
The Junior Lady Bombers needed all three sets, but they were able to beat the Lady Blue Imps in the varsity match with scores of 14-25, 25-20 and 15-5. Annyston Crooker led Mountain Home with 10 kills, Brytlee Burroughs had four kills and five aces, Violet Daugherty recorded eight assists and two aces, Ava Nones finished with seven assists and four aces, and Bella Conyers ended up with six digs and five aces. The Junior Lady Bombers improve to 5-8 on the season and 4-3 in the Northeast Arkansas Conference.
Mountain Home also beat West Memphis West in the junior varsity match in straight scores as they posted scores of 25-8 and 25-14. The Junior J.V. Lady Bombers were led by Ally Wheeler with four kills and five aces; Karly Goes had two kills, six assists and six aces; Fiona Everett recorded two kills, five aces and two digs; Chloe Bohannon added two kills; and Gracie Miller finished with six digs and two aces.
The evening began with Mountain Home’s seventh graders losing in straight sets as West Memphis West posted scores of 25-3 and 25-14.

Mountain Home Christian Academy won two of three matches as they hosted Green Forest.
The Lady Eagles won the varsity match in straight sets as they beat the Lady Tigers 25-18, 25-18 and 25-17. Caroline Robinson led Mountain Home Christian with eight kills; Kenna Riley ended up with five kills, three blocks and three aces; Kayden Wright dished out 12 assists; and Joanna Oliger chipped in five aces.
Mountain Home Christian’s only loss was in the junior varsity match. Green Forest topped the J.V. Lady Eagles in straight sets with scores of 25-12 and 25-17.
Mountain Home Christian began the evening by winning the junior high junior varsity match in three sets. The Junior J.V. Lady Eagles defeated Green Forest by scores of 16-25, 25-19 and 15-10.

In other high school volleyball, Flippin had a rough night in front of the home crowd. The Lady Bombers fell to Elkins in straight sets.

Yellville-Summit went to Conway to take on St. Joseph on Monday. The Lady Panthers lost to the Lady Bulldogs in straight sets.

Valley Springs was able to get the win on its home floor. The Lady Tigers defeated Huntsville in four sets.
