The Mountain Home City Council moved quickly through its routine agenda Thursday night.

The council voted to sell a 2020 pickup truck to the Baxter Day Service Center for $23,000. Baxter County received a grant to pay for the truck.

A proposal to sell used police department equipment was approved by the council. Police Chief Eddie Griffin says the equipment consists of body cameras that have been replaced with newer models.

The council also approved an amendment to prior ordinances allowing city employees to conduct business with the city, in this case so several parks department employees can get paid for officiating soccer games.

The council’s next meeting Oct. 5 will start about 30 minutes earlier than usual. A public hearing for Grandma’s House, that should only take a few minutes, will be held at 5:30. The council meeting will start immediately following the public hearing.
