A Gassville woman with a lengthy criminal history has been arrested in connection with two incidents, including injuries to a two-year-old. Forty-two-year-old Nicole Ashley Guinn was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center Monday morning.

One of the cases is from August when Guinn was babysitting her partner’s two-year-old granddaughter in Gassville according to the probable cause affidavit. When family arrived home, they noticed something red on the little girl’s face, but thought it might have been makeup. But upon further inspection, the grandmother noticed severe bruising and abrasions.

When questioned by police, Guinn said she did not know how the child was injured, but she was the only person at home at the time.

In another case, Guinn is accused of stealing a co-worker’s debit card and using it to make purchases earlier this month.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Mountain Home Police say the victim reported his card had been stolen and used twice.

Guinn, who was identified through surveillance video, was seen using the card at a local pharmacy. She is also accused of using it to purchase gas.

The new charges include felonies of domestic battery and theft of property and misdemeanors of theft of property and endangering the welfare of a minor. Her bond is set at $10,000.

Guinn has several arrests dating back to 2002. Earlier this year she was arrested for allegedly stealing lottery tickets from a store she worked at and cashing them. Other charges in her history include commercial burglary, breaking or entering, theft of property, and multiple drug charges.
