
The City of Flippin will hold the annual city-wide fall cleanup Friday.
Flippin Mayor Heith Hogan and Code Enforcement Officer Dustin Beals spoke with KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot News about the cleanup and what items will and will not be accepted during the event.

According to Waste Connections, items not accepted during cleanup include:
Hazardous waste;
Liquid waste such as motor oil, free-flowing liquids and paint in liquid form;
Red bag medical waste;
Whole tires, tires may be accepted if they are quartered or shredded;
Auto batteries;
Dead animals;
Freon-filled components;
Construction materials; and
Yard waste such as trees, limbs and leaves.
Items that do not fall under the aforementioned categories are accepted.
OfficerBeals stated yard waste can be burned within the city as long as there is not a burn ban and it is in a controlled environment.
