Due to inclement weather, the 2023 Mountain Home High School Homecoming Parade has been canceled.
Superintendent Allyson Dewey states she is disappointed to have to cancel, but she was encouraged the high school already had an alternate plan so student’s will still be able to see the homecoming floats and royalty.
Dewey states, “We are all disappointed we cannot have the parade, but the moment we heard about the possibility of bad weather, our high school staff began looking at alternatives. We will have a mini-parade on Friday at approximately 12:30 on the high school campus. Floats, cheer, band, dance, and the royalty will all be presented to high school and junior high students on the back drive at the high school. Immediately after the parade, our students will attend the homecoming pep rally on campus.”
The homecoming floats will also be on display for the public to see at the stadium on Friday evening. The public will have a chance to vote digitally on KTLO.com for the people’s choice homecoming float Friday evening.
The poll on KTLO.com will be available by clicking the slider image on the website at 4 p.m., voting will close at 8.
