High school football makes up much of the local Friday schedule and includes another home outing for Yellville-Summit. The Panthers will go up against Salem for Turkey Trot weekend.
Yellville-Summit is currently 4-3 on the season and 0-3 in the 3A-2. The Panthers are coming off a three-touchdown loss at Quitman. Salem is currently ranked second in Class 3A by the Arkansas Sports Media. The Greyhounds are 7-0 and 3-0 following an 11-point win over Melbourne.
Kickoff at Panther Field is scheduled for 7.
Elsewhere in the 3A-2, Melbourne hosts Perryville, and Quitman travels to Atkins. Newport is idle this week.
Also on the local schedule, Harrison makes the trip to Alma, West Plains entertains Springfield Parkview, Hollister heads to Springfield Catholic, Forsyth is home against Butler, Branson travels to Ozark, Missouri, and Ava hosts Cabool.
Mountain Home is idle this week. The Bombers will travel to Siloam Springs next Friday.
In the 6A-West, Greenbrier makes the trip to Russellville, Siloam Springs heads to Little Rock Christian, Pulaski Academy entertains Van Buren, and Greenwood travels to Pearcy to meet Lake Hamilton.
There is one game matching up teams in the Arkansas Sports Media Top 10. Fifth-ranked Fayetteville is home against No. 6 Bentonville.
On the eight-man level, Marshall hosts Mountain View for Senior Night. The Yellowjackets are the top-ranked team in Classes 4A/3A. Izard County is idle this week.
