Oil prices have risen a few dollars per barrel this week, but that is far from the roughly $40 per barrel temporary spike following last year’s Russian invasion of Ukraine. The national average for a gallon of gas fell 12 cents since last week to $3.64.Prices in the Twin Lakes Area generally range from $3.24 to $3.45 per gallon. The average price is Baxter County is $3.31. The highest average price in north central Arkansas is $3.55 per gallon in Newton County.
In Southern Missouri, Ozark County has the lowest price at $3.28 per gallon.
Arkansas remains among the lowest priced gas in the nation. The Natural State is ranked number ten in the U.S. with an average price of $3.21 per gallon. Missouri ranks number 14 with an average price of $3.31.
The lowest price in the country is in Georgia at $3.09. California has the highest price at $5.67 per gallon.
The national average of $3.64 is 19 cents less than a month ago and 28 cents less than a year ago.
