Mountain Home’s team in the boys’ doubles bracket of the Overall State Tennis Tournament won its opener Monday in North Little Rock. Pierce Blackmon and Finley Chafin was able to beat Oliver Wise and Brian Wooming of Haas Hall-Fayetteville in straight sets with scores of 6-3 and 6-3.
Blackmon and Chafin will return to Burns Park Tuesday morning for their semifinal match with Boyce Read and Santiage Aguirre of Bentonville. Action begins at 9.
