Mountain Home’s Russell Tucker recently received Black Hill Energy’s highest honor.
According to a release from Black Hills Energy, Tucker, a business development account manager, supports commercial, residential, industrial and agricultural customers in north and northeast Arkansas. As a member of the company’s ambassador program, he is involved with economic development, municipal and charitable organizations in the communities he serves. Last year Tucker is said to have contributed over 250 volunteer hours.
CEO Linn Evans, who presented the award to Tucker, states, “The CEO Award recognizes coworkers who exemplify our mission, vision and values. This year’s recipients exhibit the attributes we hope to cultivate throughout our organization: They’re values-driven, generous with their time, strong in character and focused on making life better for our customers and our communities.”
Tucker, who has worked at Black Hills Energy for 17 years, is chair of the Mountain Home Area Chamber of Commerce serving on committees including a golf tournament and Red, White & Blue Festival, and he was appointed by the mayor to serve on the Mountain Home Advertising & Promotion Commission. He volunteers weekly for the Backpack Food 4 Kids program and organizes community events to raise substantial funds for the program.
He coordinated support from the Black Hills Energy team to volunteer at the Coulter Celebration of Lights, to collect Easter candy to support foster families through The Call, sponsor Christmas presents for mothers and children at Serenity House, and provide fans to Mountain Home area residents in need through the Ozark Center of Hope. Tucker is also a cellist in the Mountain Home Symphony.
Two of the five 2023 CEO Summit Award honorees are from Arkansas. Evans also recognized Yaneth Nuñez of Prairie Grove, a field resources team lead in Fayetteville. They were selected from more than 60 nominations throughout the company’s 3,000 employees in eight states. The distinction acknowledges superior professional achievement and community service while supporting a culture that recognizes performance, reinforces company values and standards, and promotes teamwork.
