
High school football makes up much of the local Friday schedule as Mountain Home goes back on the road. The Bombers will head to the northwest corner of the state for an outing with Siloam Springs.
Mountain Home is currently 3-4 on the season and 1-4 in the 6A-West. The Bombers’ last game was two weeks ago when they were shut out by Little Rock Christian on homecoming night. Siloam Springs is 0-8 and 0-6. The Panthers were blanked by Christian last week.
Mountain Home head coach Steve Ary says despite their most recent play, he likes the position his team is currently in.

Yellville-Summit will make its last road trip of the season this week. The Panthers will be in the Arkansas River Valley for a matchup with Atkins.
Yellville-Summit is 4-4 on the year and 0-4 in the 3A-2. The Panthers lost to Salem in their Turkey Trot game last Friday. Atkins is 1-3 and 1-7. The Red Devils are coming off a one-point win over Quitman.
Kickoff at Red Devil Stadium is set for 7.
Also in the 3A-2, Melbourne heads to Newport, and Quitman entertains Perryville. Salem, the second-ranked team in Class 3A by the Arkansas Sports Media, is idle.
Elsewhere on the local Arkansas schedule, Harrison travels to Dardanelle.
This is the final week of the regular season in Missouri. Among area schools, West Plains makes the trip to Waynesville, Hollister heads to Lamar, Forsyth travels to Springfield to meet Central, and Branson is home against Webb City.
On the eight-man level, Marshall makes the trip to Rose Bud, and Mountain View heads to Newark to face Cedar Ridge.
