The Mountain Home High School football team had a dominant victory on the road to boost its playoff chances. The Bombers were able to invoke the mercy rule on their way to a 51-14 victory at Siloam Springs.

Mountain Home came out firing as they scored the first 21 points of the game. The Panthers got on the board nearly halfway through the second quarter on a 44-yard run by their backup quarterback, Gio Flores. The Bombers scored three more touchdowns and a safety before the half ended to put the mercy rule in effect at the start of the second half. Each team scored once more, and Mountain Home went on to post the 37-point victory.

Cade Yates is 17 yards shy of the Bombers’ record for most passing yards in a season as he was 12-of-13 for 208 yards and three touchdowns. Chris Hubbard had 15 carries for 154 yards, Anthony Milbourne caught three passes for 84 yards and a touchdown, Jett Hannaford had five receptions for 70 yards and a score, and Carter Adkins added three catches for 53 yards and a touchdown. Mountain Home outgained Siloam Springs 427-220.

The Bombers improve to 4-4 on the season and 2-4 in the 6A-West. The Panthers fall to 0-9 and 0-7.

Mountain Home will return to Bomber Stadium for the final time in the regular season next week as they host Van Buren for Senior Night.
