
A Gainesville woman involved in a two-vehicle accident Friday morning has succumbed to her injuries. Eighty-five-year-old Polly Ousley was pronounced dead at 11:45 Saturday night at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a truck driven by 24-year-old Brett Foster of Bakersfield was traveling on U.S. Highway 160. Ousley was reportedly attempting to cross the highway from County Road 503 and failed to yield, causing the collision.
Ousley was transported by air ambulance to the hospital. She was reportedly not wearing a seat belt. Foster was not injured.
Ousley’s vehicle had extensive damage, and Foster’s truck had moderate damage in the 10:30 a.m. accident.
