
A record number of Mountain Home High School graduates are attending Arkansas State University Mountain Home this semester, something the new chancellor says is a tribute to the large number of things happening on the campus.
Dr. Bentley Wallace, who took over as chancellor Aug. 1, says there were 254 graduates at Mountain Home in May, and 102 of them are taking classes at ASUMH. Of those, 90% are enrolled full time.
Wallace says he thinks several factors have gone into more Mountain Home grads staying home for their college education.

The Mountain Home Promise is offered to Mountain Home graduates through the Mountain Home Education Foundation. It pays for all remaining tuition costs to ASUMH after all other grants and scholarships have been applied.
Wallace says they are always working to attract more students to the ASUMH campus.
