Tuesday basketball results include Cotter winning 2 of 3 over Lead Hill, Norfork winning 2 of 3 over Jasper

Cotter finished with two wins as they hosted Lead Hill for three basketball games on Tuesday.
In the senior girls’ game, the Lady Warriors won their season opener 54-22 over the Lady Tigers. Kylee Chastain led Cotter with 13 points, Laney Dwyer added 12 points, and Emma Jones grabbed 10 rebounds. The Lady Warriors are 1-0 on the year.
Cotter did not fare as well in the senior boys’ contest. The Warriors fell to Lead Hill 51-43.
The evening began with Cotter’s junior girls topping Lead Hill 38-23. The Junior Lady Warriors were led by Myah McNutt with 12 points. Cotter improves to 3-0 on the season.

Norfork had one win in three home games against Jasper. The Lady Panthers took the senior girls’ game over the Lady Pirates 68-23. Norfork’s senior boys were not as fortunate as they lost to Jasper 68-62. In the first game of the night, the Norfork junior boys fell to Jasper 69-15.

The Flippin High School boys had a successful road trip. The Bobcats went to Alpena and picked up a 50-30 victory.

The Viola High School teams ended up getting swept at Marmaduke. The Lady Longhorns were edged out by the Lady Greyhounds 52-49. Viola also lost the boys’ game 53-35.

Calico Rock’s high school teams went on the road and suffered a sweep at Maynard. The Pirates fell in the boys’ game to the Pirates 56-52. Maynard also took the girls’ contest 51-39.

Rural Special went to Hattieville and split its high school games with Wonderview. The Rebels beat the Daredevils 69-57 in the boys’ game. The girls’ contest had a different result as Rural Special fell to Wonderview 65-56.

The Bergman High School boys picked up a win in front of the home crowd. The Panthers beat LISA North 70-64.
