
Cotter played a few basketball games Monday at Flippin.
The Lady Warriors were edged out by the Lady Bobcats 53-52 in the senior girls’ game. Emma Jones led Cotter with 18 points, and Kylee Chastain added 16.
Cotter did not fare any better in the senior boys’ contest. The Warriors fell to Flippin 73-44.
Cotter’s lone win was in the junior girls’ game as they defeated Flippin 47-15. The Junior Lady Warriors were led by Myah McNutt with 17 points, and Riley Brotherton chipped in 10.
Viola’s girls came up just short on their home floor. The Lady Longhorns lost to Maynard by a final of 47-46.
The Calico Rock High School teams were able to sweep Lead Hill in front of the home crowd. The Pirates took the boys’ game over the Tigers 62-49. Calico Rock also beat Lead Hill in the girls’ game 56-15.
The Mammoth Spring High School teams went on the road and swept Marmaduke.
The Lady Bears breezed past the Lady Greyhounds 70-50. Brynn Washam was Mammoth Spring’s top scorer with 30 points, Adrianna Corbett had 19, and Tay Davis scored 10.
Mammoth Spring also won the boys’ game over Marmaduke 58-50. Garet O’Dell paced the Bears with 26 points, and Caleb Michaels finished with 16.
Rural Special’s boys had a tough night at home. The Rebels suffered a 66-62 defeat at the hands of Pangburn.
The Bergman High School teams picked up a pair of easy wins at Kingston. The Panthers routed the Yellowjackets 91-61 in the boys’ game. Bergman’s girls also pounded Kingston 79-43.
The Ozark Mountain High School teams ended up getting swept at Jasper. The Bears lost the boys’ game to the Pirates 76-55. Ozark Mountain’s girls also fell to Jasper 68-41.
