National Weather Service provides tips on dealing with freezing conditions

As freeze warnings are in effect for several portions of the Twin Lakes Area, residents will need to be mindful of how the colder temperatures can affect their surroundings. A freeze warning will be in effect for north central Arkansas until 9 Tuesday morning and for Ozark and Howell counties in southern Missouri until 10, and more warnings could be issued Tuesday night.

Meteorologist Justin Condrey from the National Weather Service says residents will need to take extra care of their plants.

Condrey says the conditions can also have an effect on pipes and faucets that are outdoors or inside outer walls.

The weather can affect pets that normally stay outdoors. Condrey says dogs and cats don’t like the colder temperatures any more than humans.
