
On Wednesday, Rick Steiner, current incumbent for District 3 Justice of the Peace on the Baxter County Quorum Court, announced his intention to run for reelection as a Republican. Steiner previously served on the Quorum Court after being appointed in 2017 by Governor Asa Hutchinson.
Steiner has lived in Baxter County for over 45 years. He is married to his wife of 30 years, Melissa Freeman Steiner, a library media specialist at Mountain Home Public Schools and have one son, Jackson, attending the University of Arkansas School of Law. Steiner is a Mountain Home High School alumni and has spent his career in the communications industry. He is a member of First United Methodist Church, the Rotary Club of Mountain Home, and was a 25-year member and past president of the Mountain Home Lions Club. In addition to his service on the Baxter County Quorum Court, Steiner served on the Northeast Lakeside Fire Department Board of Commissioners for over 16 years and served a term as the board treasurer.
