The Salem High School football team was able to finish its regular season unbeaten on Thursday. The 3A-2 champion Greyhounds invoked the mercy rule as they shut out Quitman 51-0. Salem improves to 10-0 on the season and 6-0 in the league, and they’ll have a first round bye in the Class 3A State Playoffs. The Greyhounds’ postseason opener will be in two weeks.
