
Mountain View High School’s eight-man football team will be looking to wrap up the season on Friday with its second straight state championship. The Yellowjackets will be at home to face Mountain View in the title game of the Arkansas Eight-Man Club Division State Playoffs.
Mountain View is currently 9-0 after beating Cutter-Morning Star last week, and in their two seasons of eight-man football, they have never lost a game. Yellowjackets’ head coach Michael Gray says all of the credit for their success goes to the players.

Corning won the other semifinal game at Subiaco Academy last Friday to improve to 6-3 on the season. Mountain View defeated the Bobcats 28-0 on Oct. 6, but Gray says Corning was missing a key piece to their team in that matchup.
