
Mountain Home Christian Academy’s boys’ basketball team had a rough outing on the road on Saturday. The Eagles suffered a 64-5 loss at Viola.
The Cotter girls were able to squeak by Alpena 53-51. Kylee Chastain led the Lady Warriors with 21 points. Cotter improves to 3-1 on the season.
Mammoth Spring’s boys had a successful road trip as they were able to get past Sloan-Hendrix 68-64. The Bears were led by Blake Rogers with 23 points, and Garet O’Dell added 18.
Lead Hill had mixed results as they hosted Eureka Springs for homecoming.
The Tigers breezed past the Highlanders in the senior boys’ game 55-27. Nicklas May paced Lead Hill with 14 points and 13 rebounds, and Cedomir Petrovic chipped in 10 points and 10 boards.
Lead Hill did not fare as well in the senior girls’ contest. The Lady Tigers fell to Eureka Springs by a final of 41-37.
Lead Hill also lost the junior boys’ game to Eureka Springs 23-10.
The Bergman High School boys were able to invoke the mercy rule at home. The Panthers routed Haas Hall-Bentonville 86-39.
Valley Springs had a pair of easy high school victories over Deer. The Tigers beat up on the Antlers 65-18 in the boys’ game. Valley Springs’ girls also destroyed Deer 64-38.
Omaha split its high school games with Ozark Mountain. The Eagles won the boys’ game 67-45 over the Bears. Omaha’s girls did not fare as well as they fell to Ozark Mountain 52-44.
