Basketball makes up the local Monday schedule and includes a road trip for the Mountain Home High School teams. The Bombers and Lady Bombers are set for a matchup with Batesville.
Mountain Home’s girls are currently 4-2 on the season. The Lady Bombers wrapped up the Border Battle at Kickapoo High School in Springfield on Saturday with a nine-point loss to the host Lady Chiefs.
The Mountain Home boys have a record of 2-0. The Bombers’ last game was Tuesday when they won their home opener over Beebe.
The junior varsity games tip off at 4:30. The varsity contests begin around 6 and can be heard on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com and the Bomber Sports Network on YouTube.
Monday will be the third day of the annual Holiday Hoopsgiving at Bergman. Marshall meets Valley Springs for a doubleheader starting with the girls at noon, Jasper’s girls face Bay at 2:40, the Bergman girls take on Central Arkansas Christian at 5:20, and Mountain View’s boys play Bergman at 6:40.
Elsewhere, Flippin travels to Lead Hill, the Bakersfield girls make the trip to Mansfield, Mammoth Spring hosts Buffalo Island Central, and Melbourne will send three girls’ teams to Jonesboro to meet Nettleton.
