The Republican primary in the race for justice of the peace in Baxter County’s District 11 is a four-way race. Carla Dennis is among the candidates that will be on the ballot in March.
Dennis says her desire to run is due partly to coming from a family of servants.

Dennis has a few goals she would like to accomplish as a JP. She says the first goal is “no new taxes.”

Dennis will square off against Ezra Roberts, Toney Brasuell and Eric Payne. The winner of the March primary will not have an opponent in the general election next November and will go on to succeed Ty Chapman, who did not run for reelection.
