
The Cotter High School girls’ basketball team had a rough night in the Anstaff Bank Bev Stone Memorial Border Classic at Omaha. The Lady Warriors fell to Jasper 47-41.
The Norfork High School teams had mixed results as they hosted another group of Panthers from Yellville-Summit. Norfork won the girls’ game 70-37. Yellville-Summit took the boys’ contest 65-57.
Izard County ended up splitting its high school games at Quitman. The boys’ game ended with the Cougars topping the Bulldogs 73-55. The girls’ game had a different result as Izard County fell to Quitman 66-39.
Marshall had mixed results in its high school games with Cedar Ridge. The Lady Bobcats beat the Lady Timberwolves 63-42. Marshall lost the boys’ game 68-63.
Mountain View’s girls had a dominating victory on their home floor. The Lady Yellowjackets breezed past Riverview 55-29.
The Bergman boys won their opener in the V-Town Showdown at Vilonia. The Panthers picked up a 58-48 victory over Paragould.
The Valley Springs High School teams had a short but successful trip to Western Grove as they swept Ozark Mountain. The Lady Tigers defeated the Lady Bears 72-62. Valley Springs’ boys also beat Ozark Mountain 79-47.
