Trumann teen arrested after threatening to shoot other students on school grounds

Police arrested a 15 year old Trumann boy after they say he threatened to bring a submachine gun to school to shoot other students on Friday. KAIT News reports nothing was found in the child’s backpack. After his parents picked him up about an hour later, the principal called police again, saying the kid had sent more threats to the victims once he left school.Police Chief Jonathan Redmond said the picture sent to the victims showed an airsoft gun. The gun in the photos was located in the house and taken for evidence. The suspect was taken to the Craighead County Juvenile Detention Center and booked on suspicion of first degree terroristic threatening and threatening to commit acts of mass violence on school property.
