Tuesday basketball schedule includes MHHS hosting Valley View

High school basketball makes up much of the local Tuesday schedule and includes a return to the home floor for Mountain Home. The Bombers and Lady Bombers are set to welcome in Valley View from Jonesboro.
Mountain Home’s girls are currently 6-4 on the season. The Lady Bombers wrapped up the Searcy Classic on Saturday by invoking the mercy rule on Southside Batesville. Valley View has a record of 5-2. The Lady Blazers finished the Battle at the Brier with a loss to Sheridan Saturday in Greenbrier.
The Mountain Home boys are 6-1 on the year. The Bombers’ last game in the Searcy Classic ended with an overtime win over Cabot on Saturday. Valley View currently stands at 5-3. The Blazers are coming off a victory over LISA Academy North in their last game in the V-Town Showdown at Vilonia.
The junior varsity girls’ game tips off at 5 at Bomber Gymnasium. The varsity contests will get underway around 6 and can be heard on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com.

Bakersfield’s boys will play their opener in the Mansfield Invitational Tournament. It will be a battle between Lions as Bakersfield meets the host school at 6.

Elsewhere, Cotter travels to Haas Hall-Rogers, Norfork makes the trip to Shirley, Yellville-Summit heads to Greenland, Viola hosts Calico Rock, Salem travels to Cave City, the Dora boys entertain Winona, Dora’s girls make the trip to Bradleyville, Mammoth Spring is home against Manila, Izard County hosts Marshall, Melbourne entertains Newport, Timbo heads to Fox to face Rural Special, Mountain View is home against Walnut Ridge, Lead Hill entertains Omaha, Valley Springs is home against Jasper, and Ozark Mountain hosts Life Way Christian.
