
Tuesday saw many area basketball teams in action. Yellville- Summit had mixed results on the road in Greenland with the senior girls taking the win 47-33. The senior boys Panthers lost their match 40-47. Viola was host to Calico Rock and the girls defeated the Pirates 59-52 and the boys team also won with a score of 68-47.
The Tigers of Lead Hill fell at home to Omaha. In Junior boys action the final score was Lead Hill 26 to Omaha 38. The Tiger’s Tucker Middleton led with 13 points scored, followed by Gage Campbell with 9 and Jacob Francis with 2. Winchester Edward scored 10 points for Omaha. In senior boys action Coda Lemon led with 18 points scored for Lead Hill. Final score against the Eagles was 48-61.
Mammoth Springs girls defeated Manilla 61-36. Brynn Washam led the Bears with 18 points scored and Bethany Robbins scored 12. The Bears continued their dominance of Manilla with the senior boys game ending at 75-66. Caleb Michaels led with 25 points followed by Blake Rogers with 17 and Garet O’Dell with 16 points scored.
