The Operation Christmas Child North Central Arkansas Team announced they are sending 18,923 shoeboxes to children around the world, 17 shy of their goal.

Every year, Operation Christmas Child promotes the collection of shoeboxes filled with school supplies, hygiene items, and toys around the area. These shoeboxes are distributed to children in need around the world along with a clear presentation of the Gospel of Jesus.

The North Central Arkansas Team is comprised of year-round volunteers in 9 counties in Arkansas who promote Operation Christmas Child through churches, community groups and individuals. The 9 counties include Baxter, Boone, Fulton, Izard, Newton, Marion, Searcy, Sharp, and Stone counties.
This year’s goal for North Central Arkansas was to send 18,940 Gospel Opportunities to children around the world.

There is still time to pack a shoebox if anyone missed the drop-off in November. Participants can build building a shoebox online. The cost is $25 and the link will be active until December 31st.
