Body found in Hickey Park identified

On the morning of Oct. 30, the City of Flippin Police Department was notified of an unresponsive male at Hickey Park in Flippin.

Officers along with the Flippin Fire Department responded to the call and it was confirmed the male individual was deceased. An investigation was then initiated by investigators from the Flippin Police Department assisted by Arkansas State Police.

According to Flippin Chief of Police John Spence, the body has been identified as 52-year-old James Daniel Emory of Flippin.

Emory’s body was transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause and manner of death. The full toxicology report has not been returned from the state, but officials do not suspect foul play.
