
Mountain Home Christian Academy’s basketball teams ended up getting swept at Lead Hill on Friday.
The Lady Eagles came up just a little short in the senior girls’ game. Mountain Home Christian fell to the Lady Tigers 41-37.
Mountain Home Christian did not fare any better in the senior boys’ contest as they lost to Lead Hill 59-16. The Tigers were led by Nolan Turner with 12 points.
Mountain Home Christian’s junior boys also fell to Lead Hill 44-26. Jacob Francis was the Junior Tigers’ top scorer with 20 points.
Cotter’s boys went to Centerton and defeated Life Way Christian 63-52. Ryan Benedict paced the Warriors with 25 points, David Roger scored 19, and Kolby Woods chipped in 10.
The Yellville-Summit High School teams picked up a pair of easy wins over Eureka Springs. The Panthers breezed past the Highlanders 60-31 in the boys’ game. Yellville-Summit’s girls also pounded Eureka Springs 53-23.
The Izard County High School teams had mixed results against Sloan-Hendrix. The Lady Cougars topped the Lady Greyhounds 66-46. The boys’ game had a different result as Izard County lost to Sloan-Hendrix 62-48.
The offense was flowing for Marshall’s boys. The Bobcats beat up on South Side-Bee Branch by a final of 90-62.
The Mountain View High School teams split their games with Tuckerman. The Lady Yellowjackets defeated the Lady Bulldogs 48-30. Mountain View’s boys were not as fortunate as they fell to Tuckerman 68-61.
Bergman had mixed results in its high school games with Elkins. The Lady Panthers destroyed the Lady Elks 70-42. The Bergman boys ended up getting edged out by Elkins 78-76.
The Valley Springs High School teams picked up a sweep at Lincoln. The Tigers won the boys’ game over the Wolves 82-67. Valley Springs’ girls got past Lincoln 49-43.
Harrison split its high school games at Batesville. The Goblins routed the Pioneers 75-35 in the boys’ game. The Harrison girls suffered a 73-66 defeat to Batesville.
Jasper had mixed results in its high school games with Kingston. The Pirates squeaked by the Yellowjackets 58-55 in the boys’ game. Jasper’s girls were edged out by Kingston 62-61.
