A new drop in Christmas event for families who have a member with special needs will be held this Thursday from 2 until 7 at Real Life Church in Mountain Home. The event is hosted by a family and community support project organized by parents of children with disabilities, professionals and The Center for Exceptional Families (TCEF). The event has been designed to provide those with special needs a comfortable environment to experience the Christmas holiday.

Danya Miller-Black, SLP and BCBA at Kidspiration, and Cicilia Tucker, Care Coordinator at Summit Community Care, were recently guests on KTLO’s Talk of the Town.

Tucker says the sensory Santa is more pleasant of an experience for children who may be overwhelmed in traditional holiday settings.
