The state’s Department of Health reports high activity of a flu-like illness midweek in Arkansas.
Health officials said that one person had died of the flu this past week in state. Six flu deaths have been reported during the current season.
Also noted, 63 deaths in the past week due to pneumonia, and authorities are investigating a mysterious illness that affected five deputies in the Jefferson County Detention Facility.
