
High school basketball makes up the local Tuesday schedule as several teams begin tournament play.
The 49th-annual North Arkansas College Invitational Tournament gets underway at the Pioneer Pavilion in Harrison. The boys’ game between Norfork and Mount Judea tips off at 3, Yellville-Summit plays a doubleheader against Alpena starting with the girls at 4:20, and Lead Hill will have back-to-back games with Ozark Mountain at 7.
Three area boys’ teams will play their openers in the Cabool Holiday Tournament. Viola meets Eminence at 10:30, Dora faces the host Bulldogs at 1:30, and Gainesville takes on Summersville at 7:30.
Viola’s girls will be in Pea Ridge to start action in the Lady Blackhawk Holiday Invitational. The Lady Longhorns play Bauxite at 4.
Gainesville will begin hosting its inaugural Lady Bulldog Holiday Tournament. Bakersfield and Dora tip off at 2, and Gainesville will be paired with Cabool at 3:30.
Two area boys’ teams will square off in the Maverick Division of the Bad Boy Mowers Ronnie Brogdon Invitational at Highland. Izard County and Mammoth Spring get underway at 4.
