A homicide investigation is underway in Marion County after a male was found deceased on Christmas night. A body was found on the floor of a workshop at a residence northeast of Pindall with what appeared to be a stab wound, and a suspect has since been taken into custody.
According to Marion County Sheriff Gregg Alexander, deputies responded just after 11:20 Monday night to a report of a stabbing the residence on Marion County Road 5013. The adult white male victim was pronounced dead at the scene by the Marion County Coroner, and the body will be transferred to the Medical Examiner’s Section of the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory in Little Rock for an autopsy.
Investigators from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Arkansas State Police are conducting interviews and processing the scene. Sheriff Alexander says the identities of the victim and suspect and any potential charges will be released at a later time.
