Arkansas’s Attorney General Tim Griffin rejected this week a ballot proposal with the popular name Educational Rights Amendment 2024.
The amendment was by a group focused on placing educational reforms on the November election ballot. Griffin cited the proposal’s unconstitutional provision, its lack of clarity on key terms, and its internal inconsistency as a reason for the rejection.
The group’s spokesperson said the committee would re-submit a revised proposal.
