A lawsuit filed this week against the Saline County Rehabilitation Center claims juvenile patients were subjected to sexual assault and abuse for decades.
The lawsuit was filed Tuesday against Timber Ridge NeuroRestorative, also known as Timber Ridge Ranch, and its former parent company. Eight former patients claim to have been abused as minors by agents and staff. According to the plaintiffs, Timber Ridge Ranch and its employees knew about the abuse but didn’t adequately intervene to protect them and other patients. They say the abuse happened to them between 1996 and last year.
After the complaint had been filed, Timber Ridge NeuroRestorative released this statement, “Timber Ridge NeuroRestorative is aware of the complaint filed this morning and is currently reviewing the information in the filing,” the statement read. ”We can provide no further comment at this time.”
