Thursday’s schedule includes the start of the 2024 season for the Mountain Home High School baseball team. The Bombers begin the campaign with back-to-back games on the Shiloh Christian campus in Springdale.
Mountain Home is coming off a season in which they finished 18-10. The Bombers ended the 2023 regular season tied for third place in the 5A-West, and they later fell to Valley View in the Class 5A State Tournament.
Mountain Home meets Grove, Okla., at 4, and they’ll stay on the field for a 6:30 contest with Shiloh Christian.
Harrison will be in Huntsville for the Northwest Arkansas Showcase. The Goblins face Elkins at 5:30.
Elsewhere on the baseball schedule, Cotter travels to Norfork, and Melbourne makes the trip to Pleasant Plains to meet Midland.
In high school softball, Harrison hosts North Little Rock, and Jasper heads to Hector.
