Boone Co. man faces charges following a domestic dispute

A Boone County man has been arrested following an attack against his significant other. Forty-five-year-old Larry Thompson of Harrison is facing multiple charges including felony counts of domestic battering, terroristic threatening and aggravated assault.

According to the probable cause affidavit on Dec. 11, 2023, the Harrison Police Department responded to North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in reference to assault.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim who stated at approximately 2 in the morning, Thompson kicked open her door, ran towards her and attacked her. The victim told officers Thompson allegedly dragged the her by her hair and began talking nonsense. She said Thompson began choking her and stated he was going to kill her.

The victim said Thompson stopped attacking her when he began coughing and acted like he was going to puke when he grabbed her cigarettes, a light bulb and left. The victim stated she was afraid to contact police at the time of the incident due to not knowing where Thompson was and decided to wait until she got to the hospital later that morning.

Officers observed the victim had red marks on her neck, scratch marks on her face and a broken pinky finger. She also complained of a leg injury.

Thompson is currently being held in the Boone County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond. He is also ordered to have no contact with the victim.
