MH City Council approves purchase of 3 new vehicles for police department

The Mountain Home City Council, with one member absent, voted unanimously Thursday night to approve the purchase of three new vehicles for the Mountain Home Police Department. The purchase of the 2024 Ford Explorers from Ultimate Ford in Mountain Home will total $130,500. The vehicles will come equipped with the police package.Police Chief Eddie Griffin told KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot news two of the vehicles should be available next week and the third is expected to be shipped next week. It will take about one month for the vehicles to be fully equipped with lights, computers, radios, a cage, and the wrap and be road ready.

In other business, the council approved some routine bookkeeping adjustments presented by city treasurer Alma Clark and approved updated line-item numbers for the parks department for some new programs including roller hockey.
