2 area residents injured in 2-vehicle crash in southern Missouri

Two Harrison residents were transported by ambulance to Cox Medical Center in Branson after they were injured in a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon in southern Missouri. Sixty-three-year-old Tammie Harris suffered moderate injuries, and 69-year-old David Harris had minor injuries from the accident in Stone County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, David Harris was the driver of an SUV on Missouri Highway 76, and Tammie Harris was his passenger. They were reportedly a mile east of Branson West when a pickup truck, driven in the opposite direction by 28-year-old Hunter Kelly of Springfield, reportedly crossed the center line and struck the Harris’ SUV head-on. Kelly was not injured.

Both vehicles had extensive damage in the 12:40 p.m. accident.
