A few area baseball, softball and soccer teams were in action on Monday.
In baseball, Flippin defeated Izard County 7-4, Bakersfield got past Thayer 5-4, and Gainesville shut out Dora 14-0.
In softball, Bakersfield fell to Thayer 18-11.
Mountain View’s soccer team ended up splitting with Cave City. The Yellowjackets won the boys’ match 9-3 over the Cavemen, but Cave City took the girls’ match 10-0.
